The U.S. Department of Transportation is pushing a national freight-visibility dashboard that would connect ports, trucking companies, railroads, ocean carriers and retailers. The American Supply Chain Sovereignty Initiative is designed to improve cargo forecasting, reduce bottlenecks and give freight companies earlier visibility into supply-chain demand.
